In the middle of season 19, a group of guys decided to start a cycling team. All of them took what sparemoney they had, and started trying to find anyone who was willing to sponsor a cyclingteam, which they had chosen to call Team Deltaforce, from the start. They didn't have to search for long time. With the newly found money they started buying some different
riders from all over Denmark. They found 15 promising riders, and then they were almost done. The last thing they had to do, was to find a manager. They looked around for some time, untill one day, a guy came to their office(Yes, they even spent money on renting an office), and knocked on the door. They let him in, and he said that he was interested in the job as manager for their cycling team. The guy was immediately accepted for the job.
It didn't take long, before the new manager, MarkusBM, started signing up the riders for different races all over the world. Even though he was not very succesful at winning the races, one day, he finally got the team moved away from Division 9. It happened in the race called Santovka-Domadice, and that race will forever be remembered by the team, as we did not just get a win, we got a thirdplace as well.
In the first season of Team Deltaforce, many of our riders got sent to
training camps to train their climbing abilities. The rider who got most training was André Wivel, the oldest rider on the team. In season 19, the team also signed Rajko Urdih, a promising young Slovenian rider, and trained him a little bit.
During all of season 20, no really intense training was made, it was stil the same 5-6 riders who got trained. This also
meant that the team made no real progress during this season. The team did get some results though. Manager MarkusBM had
trained the climbing stats primarily, resulting in a climbing squad able to get results. The team got 3 results during this season; all of them made by André Wivel, and all of them 2. places. No wonder the board of the team was close to fire MarkusBM several times during this season.
Season 21 has been the season for progress. MarkusBM finally put his mind into training one rider at a time. He chose Kaj Kronholm, a promising cobblestone-specialist, and started his training at the beginning of the season. The training payed
well of, especially in the ending of the season. He recently got 3 results in a row, and the team is nearly in division 7.
But he hasn't been the only one to get results for the team this season. During his topform, Freddy Laursen got a third
place, in a race where the thirdplace spot was a sprint between Freddy Laursen, Jimmi Bruhn(Team Deltaforce's co-captain in the mountains) and André Wivel, the captain for the team in that race. André Wivel finished 5th, Jimmi Bruhn 4th, and Freddy Laursen third, in the race known as Climbs of Provence. Ketil Tellingalso got an impressive third place in a
timetrial race, while André Wivel himself recently finished second in Olimpo Climbs, one of his first races after his
comeback from injury late-season. Kaj Kronholm has got 6 results so far, and is counting on another one tomorrow,
something that, if it happens, will send the team straight into Division 7, or maybe even division 6. The team's owners are happy that they didn't fire MarkusBM while he was still completely new. It is obvious that he had a slow start, but now
MarkusBM are getting results like never before, getting results in the last four races he signed up for, surely with more to come.
